Scott Wilson, Ventiv Technology’s chief information security officer and data privacy officer, earns Fellow of Information Privacy designation
Ventiv Technology is pleased to announce that Scott Wilson, Chief Information Security Officer and Data Privacy Officer, has earned the designation of Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP). FIP is the highest level of accreditation available from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
The Fellow of Information Privacy designation is available to data privacy and security professionals who have earned a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification as well as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) recognizes these credentials as the gold standard for information privacy professionals.
The Fellow of Information Privacy designation is awarded only to a limited number of data privacy and security experts. Work experience as well as peer references are factored into the IAPP’s accreditation decision. Scott Wilson’s accreditation confirms his comprehensive knowledge of global privacy laws, privacy program management, and essential data-protection practices.
Scott Wilson said, “The privacy landscape is complex and ever-changing as new laws come into effect. One of Ventiv Technology’s most important jobs is managing an active privacy program and consulting regularly with clients about that program. It’s vitally important that we at Ventiv Technology have the knowledge and experience to advise our clients on how to maintain compliance with numerous privacy regulations. Earning the Fellow of Information Privacy designation will, we expect, enhance our clients’ trust in Ventiv as their technology partner with relevant, comprehensive expertise and experience when it comes to data privacy and security.”
