Consilio eDiscovery Services Meets ISO 27001 Requirements

Consilio, a Symphony Technology Group (STG) company and global leader in eDiscovery software and services, has reinforced its commitment to data security in announcing its ISO 27001:2005 certification. This formal acknowledgement demonstrates that Consilio’s eDiscovery protocols for its information security management systems (“ISMS”) meet or exceed the International Standard for data security.

As an industry leader in handling complex, cross-border matters, Consilio has expertise in meeting the data protection regulations that vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. “We’re constantly evaluating and evolving our security precautions on behalf of our clients. A quality eDiscovery experience starts with data that is secure and meets regional standards for data protection,” Consilio Executive Vice President of Client Services, Todd Horst, explains. “Our ISO and Safe Harbor certifications are a common language we use to establish a baseline with clients about our rigorous security protocols. From there we discuss additional measures we take to ensure their data is safe and handled in compliance with local laws.”

Milestones for ISO 27001:2005 certification are set forth by the International Organization for Standards and encompass establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an ISMS. Meeting the certification requirements moves beyond standard “operations” and involves business units across the entire organization. Consilio’s certification includes Information Technology, Physical Security, Office Administration, Human Resources, Application Development and Support, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Information Security and Business Operations—specifically, Managed Review, Forensics & Production and Project Management.
