System C partners shortlisted for three patient safety awards
Two NHS Trusts using System C’s CareFlow e-observations have been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s HSJ Patient Safety Awards, designed to recognise outstanding contributions to healthcare.
The DETECT research study has been shortlisted for both the ‘Deteriorating Patients & Rapid Response Systems’ award and the ‘Best Emerging Solution for Patient Safety’ award.
The study is a partnership between Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, The University of Liverpool, Edge Hill University, Lancaster University and System C. The first-of-type research programme seeks to identify early warning signs of deterioration in children using e-observations, with the aim of reducing critical care transfers.
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust has also successfully been shortlisted for its use of e-observations to widen access to end-of-life spiritual care.
